Transfiguration Sunday was packed: the Gospel, for one, plus the other readings, provided a feast of food for thought. We celebrated a Baptism, for a 3 month-old, and installed the Church Council and Officers. Ted Stoddard, our Choir Director and Organist, who has been away for 5 weeks, returned this Sunday. We are grateful to Priscilla Walter for filling in for him this month. I’m still not used to having my sermons recorded, but I am grateful to the member of the congregation who continues to record them and send them to me. Below is a very short transfiguration sermon, truncated by necessity. I did not have time to address in depth the first half of the reading from II Corinthians, which I struggled with.
