Come Share the Spirit! St. Paul Lutheran Church is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We serve the communities of Cape Ann, Massachusetts.
St. Paul was founded in 1893 by hardworking, devout Finnish and Swedish immigrants. In 1960, two separate congregations in Rockport and Gloucester merged, creating a strong self-supporting Lutheran presence with a permanent pastoral ministry.
Today, our members trace their roots to many parts of the world. We seek to proclaim the gospel in word and deed in our daily lives, our families, and our communities. Our motto, "come share the spirit," expresses our hope that the hearts of all who come here will be kindled by the joy and peace of Jesus Christ.
